Life isn’t easy. I know that for a fact. But you just have to take things into perspective and hold on. That’s the best advice I’ve ever read about and I’m not talking about from any self help book either. Stop, breath, cry if you must but just hold on and things will get better. I promise.
It’s real, and sometimes it fucking hurts, but it’s sort of all we have.

Chocolate strawberry face mask at 2 in the morning?
Sure, why not.
![So my mother calls me after work asking me to take her to the hospital. She’s complaining of tightness in her chest and a burning sensation down her left leg. She’s told me that she called Telehealth earlier and told them of her symptoms and they’ve advised her to get to a hospital as soon as possible. There could be a good chance there’s a blood clot somewhere in her leg and if that reaches her heart, it could be really dangerous.
So here I am, two hours later, with my phone plugged in and silently observing all the ill and injured that have walked in. You can’t see them, but there’s a little boy to my far left that has a cut on his foot. It’s currently wrapped in a kitchen towel. There is a girl immediately to my left wearing a mask. There’s a very skinny girl in a wheelchair clutching her sides and directly on front of me is a soccer player with a very obvious facial injury (thus all the bloody tissues and spitting pan). The older lady beside him just has her eyes closed. I guess she’s not good with blood.
Thank god for universal healthcare.

Mother has been texting me from the inside even though she’s not really allowed to do that. She says they’ve taken a CT scan and gave her two injections and is now waiting for results.
